Hoshi and Woozi of Seventeen will form a subunit duo and roll out single “Beam” on March 10, said agency Pledis Entertainment Wednesday.
A monotoned teaser clip playing with lights spelled out their names and the album title, which signify the energy the musicians emanate.
The same-aged pair sang “Bring It” in 2017 in the band’s second studio album “Teen, Age,” and will be the third subunit from the 13-member act, after BSS and Junghan X Wonwoo. The latter’s three-track single “This Man” from last year set a first-week sales record for a K-pop band subunit at over 787,000.
Meanwhile, Seventeen returned home Tuesday after wrapping up world tour “Right Here” in Bangkok the previous day. The monthslong tour drew over 1 million ticket sales in 14 cities.
Next month, the bandmates will host two days of fan meetings in Incheon, South Korea.
Nmixx to bring out 4th EP
Nmixx will release fourth EP “Fe304: Forward” on March 17, announced label JYP Entertainment Wednesday.
The news came with a video clip that followed items in trays moving along a machine similar to an airport baggage scanner, including a cube and a star, which harked back to its previous albums. Near the end of the clip came a new object, a conch shell, and the machine states: "Towards the Utopia, Together with Nmixx."
The upcoming mini album will be the third and final installment of its “Fe304” series, following second and third EPs “Fe304: Break” and “Fe304: Stick Out.”
The six-member group will be bringing out a new album after eight months. It is currently hosting fan concert tour “Change Up Mixx Lab” and will visit fans in Mexico City, Santiago and Sao Paulo this month.
