With the success of Laposta 2025, the entertainment powerhouse greets 30th anniversary
South Korean entertainment powerhouse CJ ENM is showcasing a successful business model in the Japanese music market, encompassing intellectual property planning, platform management and artist development.
CJ ENM recently concluded Laposta 2025, held at Tokyo Dome from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2. The joint concert featured various artists from its Japanese label, Lapone Entertainment, as well as Zerobaseone, Kep1er and Izna -- groups from CJ ENM's Korean label, Wakeone.
The event attracted an impressive 150,000 attendees over three days, demonstrating its explosive popularity. The Laposta concert brand, first launched in 2023, has expanded nearly fivefold in both scale and revenue over three years.
Surrounding the concert, various events took place over a week in the Tokyo Dome area, further strengthening the bond between CJ ENM's artists and their fans while drawing significant industry attention.
Members of Lapone Entertainment’s boy groups, JO1 and INI, hosted 22 performances, while groups DXTEEN, ME:I and IS:SUE held fan meetings. A symposium featuring Lapone Entertainment executives provided insights into the company’s growth trajectory and management philosophy, attracting approximately 2,300 industry professionals.
In addition, a collaboration with Tokyo Dome City brought a variety of exclusive experiences to the Laposta 2025 week, including several attractions, food and beverage offerings, and an exhibition showcasing the history of Lapone Entertainment and its artists.
CJ ENM’s K-pop groups continue to make a strong impact in Japan.
Zerobaseone’s first Japanese EP, “Prezent,” claimed the No. 1 spot on both Oricon's weekly album and weekly combined album charts on Monday. The album also secured the top position on Billboard Japan’s latest weekly Top Album Sales chart.
CJ ENM stated that the success of Laposta 2025 and its artists’ album performances prove the effectiveness of the company’s Music Creative Eco-System strategy.
“As CJ ENM celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, we will continue to strengthen our connection with global fans and present high-quality content by leveraging our well-established IP and platforms,” Shin Hyung-kwan, head of music content business division at CJ ENM, said.
