Jisoo of Blackpink set fans abuzz over the weekend with two covers for her first solo EP, “Amortage.”
She exudes vivacious energy seemingly tearing open and jumping out of a wall in one; in the other, she gazes serenely at the camera dressed in black. The two contrasting images are likely parts of the montage of different sides the artist will present through the album.
Her solo album will roll out on Feb. 14, two weeks before fellow Blackpink member Lisa’s first solo full album “Alter Ego” on Feb. 28 and Jennie’s first solo LP “Ruby,” due to be unveiled March 7.
In the meantime, the music video for Blackpink’s “Shut Down” hit 700 million views on YouTube on Jan. 29, the group’s 15th video overall to do so. The hip-hop tune fronted the foursome’s second album “Born Pink” and the dance video for the song surpassed the 200 million mark in early January.
Zerobaseone teases 5th EP

Zerobaseone uploaded teasers for its fifth EP “Blue Paradise” Monday.
A sound snippet for the upcoming mini album piqued fan interest, as a mysterious voice through a public telephone gave out a mission to “Find Blue.” The accompanying poster was black, tinged with shades of blue, giving a nod to the album title.
“Blue Paradise” will be released Feb. 24, about six months after the previous EP “Cinema Paradise,” making it the second installment of the “Paradise” series.
The nine-piece act dropped the B-side track “Doctor! Doctor!” last month and claimed the No. 1 spot on the real-time music chart at home. The digital issue of the prerelease featured a cover by Japanese horror manga artist Ito Junji.
Last week in Japan, its first EP “Prezent” debuted atop Oricon’s Daily Album Ranking.
