K-pop agency seeks to discover next generation of K-pop stars
YG Entertainment is launching a nationwide audition tour to discover the next generation of K-pop stars who will shape the future of K-pop.
The “2025 YG National Audition Tour” will run Feb. 7-23, spanning six cities with seven audition sessions. The tour begins in Gwangju on Feb 7, followed by stops in Daejeon on Feb. 8, Jeonju in North Jeolla Province on Feb. 9, Daegu on Feb. 15, Busan on Feb. 16, and concludes with two sessions in Seoul on Feb. 22 and 23.
“We are looking forward to discovering new gems with untapped potential,” YG Entertainment said in a statement, Tuesday. “We support the passion and determination of all participants.”
The auditions are open to all genders and nationalities, provided participants are Korean residents born between 2007 and 2014. Applicants can showcase their skills in one of four categories: Singing, rapping, dancing, or visuals.
Registrations will be accepted both online and on-site. Online applications must be submitted through the YG audition website by noon on the Monday prior to each city’s audition date. On-site registrations will be accepted until 4 p.m. at the designated venues on the day of the auditions.
YG Entertainment, known for producing global K-pop groups such as Big Bang, 2ne1, Blackpink and most recently Baby Monster, aims to find new talents who can lead the next wave of K-pop innovation.
Selected applicants will have a chance to train under YG’s renowned industry professionals.
