Jun to appear on screen with Jackie Chan, Tony Leung Ka-fai
Seventeen member Jun is set to make his mark on the big screen, starring in the upcoming Chinese film "The Shadow’s Edge" alongside global icons Jackie Chan and Tony Leung Ka-fai.
According to Jun's agency Pledis Entertainment, Jun will play gang member Hu Feng in the crime thriller slated for release later this year.
The movie delves into a gripping battle between a notorious criminal organization and the police determined to bring them down. Legendary action star Jackie Chan will portray a veteran detective, while Tony Leung Ka-fai takes on the role of Hu Feng’s adoptive father and the story’s primary antagonist. The film is directed by Larry Yang.
Before debuting as a member of Seventeen, Jun, a Chinese national, began his career as a child actor in China, starring in TV series and films.
He starred in the 2006 movie "The Wild Dog," earning the Best New Actor award at the Hong Kong Directors’ Guild Awards the following year. He also became the first Chinese child actor nominated for Best New Performer at the 27th Hong Kong Film Awards.
Most recently, Jun won the Popularity Award at the Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards during the 2023 Busan International Film Festival for his role in the youth romance drama "Exclusive Fairy Tales."
