North Jeolla Province experienced heavy snowfall overnight, amid heavy snow warnings across all 14 counties starting Tuesday night.

While the snow advisory for the southern part of the province was lifted at 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday, the Korea Meteorological Administration forecasts the return of strong snow clouds this afternoon, likely bringing additional heavy snowfall through Thursday.

According to the national weather agency, intense snowfall of 3 to 5 centimeters per hour is expected in parts of South Chungcheong and the North and South Jeolla provinces, as well as mountainous areas of Jeju Island. The agency advises residents of North Jeolla Province to stay up to date on heavy snowfall warnings expected later in the day and to exercise caution on icy and slippery roads.
