Heo Yunjin of Le Sserafim decided to hold off releasing a self-written song that was due out Tuesday, said agency Source Music.

She was planning to unveil “Jellyfish” but will do so later out of respect for the victims of the Muan plane crash and their families.

As the song title suggests, she was inspired by the sea creature that freely swims around in deep blue waters. The R&B soul number is her fifth self-written work, and she gave fans a taste of it on a livestream to the pleasant surprise of viewers.

In the meantime, her group released a third physical single in Japan earlier this month. "Crazy" includes a Japanese-language version of the title track from its fourth EP. The original song hit Billboard’s Hot 100 at No. 76.

NCT 127 picks up grand prize at AAA 2024

NCT 127 was awarded top prizes at The 9th Asia Artist Awards in Bangkok Friday: Stage of the Year and Best Artist.

The six members performed four songs at the ceremony, from “Kick It” and “2 Baddies” to “Fact Check” and “Walk,” showcasing the epitome of the NCT subunit, according to Doyoung.

“Walk” fronted its sixth studio album of the same title which was picked as one of “The 25 Best K-Pop Albums of 2024: Staff Picks” by Billboard magazine. The album is a “masterful production … in top form” and “one of their most cohesive projects yet,” reasserting “their status as vocal powerhouses in the K-pop industry,” it added.

UK’s Dazed magazine chose “Pricey,” a B-side track from the album as one of “The 50 Best K-Pop Tracks of 2024.”

Meanwhile, NCT 127 will launch its fourth international tour “Neo City – The Momentum” on Jan. 18 with a two-date concert in Seoul.

BTS’ V reenters global charts with solo singles

V of BTS reclaimed spots on the UK’s Official Chart and Spotify Charts with his winter-themed collaboration singles.

“Winter Ahead (feat. Park Hyoshin)” reappeared on the UK Official Chart Single Downloads and Single Sales at No. 35 and No. 40, respectively. The single hit the two charts at No. 1 and 2, upon release and debuted on its Singles Chart Top 100 at No. 86.

The seasonal song has stayed on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global for three weeks, ranking No. 68 this week while his retake on Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” extended its stay on the chart to a second week, sitting at No. 192.

The reinterpreted tune topped iTunes Top Songs Chart in 43 regions and the two songs entered Billboard’s Hot 100 at No. 99 and No. 93, respectively.

On Monday, the artist put off uploading a video to celebrate his birthday, which falls on Dec. 30, as the nation mourns the Muan plane crash victims.

One Pact to visit fans in Japan

Boy band One Pact will visit two cities in Japan next month, announced agency Armada Entertainment Tuesday.

The band of four is planning to greet fans in Osaka and Tokyo twice each on Jan. 23 and 25, respectively, for its "Beyond The Horizon" tour.

The bandmates are returning to the country about three months after their standalone gig in Tokyo -- "An All Day Groove." They also toured Japan in February and March, visiting Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka and Tokyo, before flying over to Taipei, Taiwan, the following month.

The one-year-old band dropped its second EP “Fallin’” in September and Jay Chang brought out his second solo EP “Neighborhood” last month, after coming out atop the vocal competition show “Build Up.” Chang will not join the upcoming tour.
