South Korea has confirmed its 15th case of highly pathogenic avian influenza for the season at a southern farm, authorities said Monday

The latest case was detected at a poultry farm in Gimje, North Jeolla Province, which is raising some 75,000 chickens, according to the agriculture ministry.

To prevent further spread, officials have taken measures to control access to the farm to carry out investigations, and culled the affected chickens and wild geese. (Yonhap)
