A special exhibition celebrating Han Kang‘s Nobel Prize in literature was held Wednesday in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in Argentina, the event showcased the Spanish editions of Han’s novels alongside works by artists from Tierra del Fuego, a remote archipelago in southern Argentina.

One of Han’s works, “The White Book” was paired with a painting of snow-covered landscapes that reflected the island’s harsh climatic conditions.

A wall of the exhibition hall was adorned with excerpts of the laureate‘s works, presented in both Korean and Spanish.

“Interest in Korean culture here has been growing explosively for several years, and Han’s Nobel Prize in literature has further elevated the global recognition of K-culture. Through this exhibition, I hope local citizens can see, read and feel the essence of Korean literature,” said Han Bo-hwa, director of the KCC in Argentina.
