House of Sharing opens for English tour
The House of Sharing, a home for women who were forced to work as sex slaves during World War II, will open for an English-language tour on April 14. The tour will visit the House of Sharing museum, which documents the history of Japan’s WWII sex slavery with testimonies, artifacts, photographs and videos. Volunteers to visit residence for disabled
A group of volunteers will visit a home for disabled people near Seoul on Saturday.They will visit Angel House near Yeonsinnae Station, home to 50 disabled residents, from 1:30-7 p.m. to help clean the facilities, do laundry, cook and help residents with basic personal hygiene. Seoul Global Center will run a Foreigners’ Flea Market on Saturday at the Seoul Folk Flea Market in Sinseol-dong.All stalls must be staffed by at least one expat, but Koreans can help out at stalls run by a foreign vendor.
