[THE INVESTOR] Hyundai Motor said on July 1 that its June sales increased 9.1 percent from a year earlier on robust sales overseas.
South Korea’s leading automaker said it sold a total of 444,620 vehicles in June, up from 407,570 units a year before.
Its domestic sales came to 69,970 units, up 11.4 percent from a year earlier, while overseas sales increased 8.7 percent to 374,650 units over the cited period, the company said.

During the January-June period, Hyundai Motor sold a cumulative 2,393,958 cars, down 0.9 percent from the same period a year earlier.
The carmaker vowed to strengthen its capability to better deal with changes, noting that the tough market situation could continue to persist and there could be a fierce competition among carmakers.
