SNSD’s Sunny does ‘meokbang’ on radio program

Sunny, a member of K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation, also known as SNSD, posed for a photo while indulging in fried chicken on an MBC radio program.

“Meokbang” is a Korean slang term used to describe scenes in which celebrities eat food on TV.

The photo was uploaded to the official Twitter account of MBC’s FM4U program “Sunny’s FM Date,” with Sunny pouting at the camera and holding a piece of chicken with a pair of chopsticks.

“I didn’t mean it, but this is another photo of me eating. Today’s menu is fried chicken treated by DJ Sunny!” the Twitter post read.

Sunny frequently treated all her staff on the radio program with food such as fried chicken and rice cakes out of her own pocket.

Besides the photo of Sunny’s meokbang, on the official account of “Sunny’s FM Radio,” exclusive photos such as Sunny giving rice cake to longtime MBC DJ Bae Chul-soo and a picture of actor Shin Sung-woo who appeared on the program as a guest.

“Sunny’s FM Radio” kicked off on May 11, entertaining listeners with Sunny’s perky and bright personality every night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
