Gwangju Biennale explores ‘Imagined Borders’
The 12th edition of the Gwangju Biennale kicked off Friday, with 165 artists from 43 countries participating.A curatorial collective of 11 independent curators put together this year’s biennale. “The most important point was the process, the ways in which artists build up the biennale. Jung Eun-young wins MMCA Korea Artist Prize
Artist Jung Eun-young was announced the winner of the Korea Artist Prize 2018 on Wednesday evening. The competition is organized by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea. Jung was one of four finalists for the prize. Jheon Soo-cheon, the first Korean to win a prize at the Venice Biennale, died Monday from pre-existing medical conditions. ‘Step-Up,’ KNCDC features new works by local choreographers
