‘Olympus Has Fallen’ an unusual project for director Antoine Fuqua
LOS ANGELES ― There’s a notable moment in “Olympus Has Fallen,” director Antoine Fuqua’s action thriller: a slow-motion shot of a desecrated American flag discarded from atop the White House by North Korean terrorists as dirge-like music plays in the background. It’s the type of scene ― bold to his fans, cringe-worthy to his critics ― that Fuqua has used in almost all of his films.“I wanted to create an exciting movie, but give it these small moments of truth,” the director said, noting that he s

Spicy stir-fried squid (ojingeo bokkeum)
This squid dish is one of the most popular spicy dishes in Korean cuisine. The squid is cut into bite-sized pieces and stir fried in a slightly sweet red chili sauce along with vegetables. This recipe is certainly hot, but not fiery hot. Adjust the spiciness level to your taste. One way to reduce the spiciness is to use fewer fresh chili peppers (or none at all). Fresh chili peppers are called for in the classic versions of the dish, but the heat can be quite intense with certain varieties. This
