Amorepacific‘s self-developed mobile point-of-sale system has been recognized at the 2017 e-Asia Awards, according to the company Monday.

The mobile POS system allows store employees to scan customer and product information and complete transactions with just one mobile device.

It was chosen as the winner in the “Creating Inclusive Digital Opportunities” category of the awards, hosted by the Asia-Pacific Council for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business at the Taipei World Trade Center on Sept. 13.

The POS system includes a barcode scanner, credit card reader and camera for a streamlined customer service experience, according to the company. It has been piloted at major Aritaum stores in Seoul starting in May, and will soon be used in stores nationwide.
