Kim Gun-mo returns to the stage

Singer-songwriter Kim Gun-mo is gearing up for his much anticipated return to the music scene.

The 48-year-old artist, who debuted in 1992, will be releasing a new mini album “50” on Saturday, according to the record label Music & New last week. This is Kim’s first album in five years, following the release of his 13th studio album “Autobiography” in 2011.

The upcoming six-track EP will feature collaborations with other artists, including UJi of K-pop girl group BESTie and Jo Hyun-ah of rhythm-and-blues group Urban Zakapa.

In preparation for his upcoming release, Kim has been making regular broadcast appearances in recent months, including on SBS music program “Fantastic Duo” and variety show “Mom’s Diary - My Ugly Duckling.”

The singer will kick off his national solo “25th Anniversary Tour” at Jamsil Gymnasium in Seoul on Dec. 31 at 10 p.m. The tour is scheduled to extend into January in major cities, including Busan, Gwangju and Daegu.

Tickets to Kim’s upcoming concerts range from 77,000 won ($66) to 143,000 won, and are available at ticket.interpark.com.
