[THE INVESTOR] On Sept. 19 KCC Corp. (002380) declined 1.28% from the previous trading day on Sept. 13 to 385,500 won (US$344.77). It had declined 10.47% through the past month. Standard deviation, which indicates variableness, records 1.4% over the same period of time over one month.

Compared with its close competitors within the same industry, KOSPI, since the monthly volatility of KCC was the lowest, the earnings rate over one month was also relatively lower than that of its peer group. Over the recent month, the return-on-risk, the return on investment with consideration about risk, was -7.4%. Though the volatility was the lowest among its peer group, the return-on-risk was the lowest as tumbling of stock price. Moreover, compared with the KOSPI industry, the return-on-risk is below the industrial mean, -3.5, and thus the industrial comparison performance was not so good.
