Hyundai Motor Group hosted a celebration dinner Thursday for the national archery team, who swept medals at the Rio Olympics 2016, the automotive company said.

Hyundai has invited archery medalists -- who gained four gold medals and one bronze medal at the Olympics -- and their families to a celebration dinner held at COEX Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul.

Hyundai Motor Vice Chairman Chung Eui-sun attended the event to deliver rewards to the medalists and staff. In return, the Korea Archery Association and the medalists prepared a gift -- a miniature of four gold medals -- for the group’s Chairman Chung Mong-koo in gratitude for his continued support.

“It would have been very difficult to show this performance without strong support from chairman Chung over the past 32 years,” an archer Chang Hye-jin said, adding, “Archers appreciate (Hyundai’s support) for making a strong foundation for the members.”

Chung Mong-koo has been backing Korean archery since he was appointed as a chairman of the Korea Archery Association in 1985. He served as a chairman four times since 1985. Since 1997, he has served as an honorary chairman for the association.
