[THE INVESTOR] The Seoul International Textile Fair kicked off in Seoul on Aug. 31 to set the stage for trade between global textile and fashion companies and introduce the latest industry trends, its organizer said.

The international fair, called the “Preview in Seoul 2016,” runs for three days until Sept. 2 at Coex, bringing 374 textile and fashion companies from 11 nations.

It also attracted about 1,000 overseas buyers from popular fashion brands, including DKNY, Coach and J Crew.

Hosted by the Korea Federation of Textile Industries, the textile fair presents high-tech textile materials, spun thread, fabrics, clothing, shoes, bags and textile machinery.

The exhibition will connect manufacturers with overseas buyers through one-on-one consultation sessions, host seminars on the latest market trends and present a high-quality textile fashion show, the organizer said.
