A music concert will be held at Lotte World Tower in Seoul to thank construction workers for their hard work on the tower, according to Lotte Corp. on Thursday.

The “Concert Celebrating the Sweat and Passion of Lotte World Tower‘s Small Heroes,” which invited 1,800 people including construction workers, Lotte World Tower employees, Lotte World Mall employees and their families, will be held at the Lotte Concert Hall in the tower on Sept. 21.

According to the company, the concert will be more meaningful because it will be held at the classical concert hall that the workers themselves helped to build.

The event will take place in two parts -- a classical music concert followed by a more casual program and videos of the workers on-site. Lotte Corp. will also collect support messages from the public through social media and reveal them at the concert.

Lotte Corp.’s senior managing director Park Hyun-chul thanked the crew through a statement saying, “The concert is a small gift for our hardworking employees. We hope they and their families will feel pride in raising the stature of Korea, and find it a healing experience.”

Lotte World Tower is in its last stages of construction, with 3,500 crew members working on site each day.
