Singer-songwriter Roy Kim will be holding promotional activities and performances in Malaysia this month, according to his entertainment company CJ E&M on Thursday. The 23-year-old artist will start off his tour with a showcase at the Paradigm Mall in Kuala Lumpur on Aug. 26, and perform at Dare Dare Come 2.0 Go! -- a festival hosted by MY FM radio station -- as the event’s first-ever Korean musician on Aug. 27.

He is also scheduled to appear in television and radio programs.

Since the release of his Chinese rendition of the hit track “Cloudy Day” by Singaporean singer Stefanie Sun in June, his popularity has grown in other Asian countries, including Taiwan and Malaysia, where he topped the weekly music chart on the country’s leading radio station One FM.

After emerging as the winner of the fourth season of Mnet’s singing audition program “Superstar K” in 2012, Kim gained wide popularity with his first studio album “Love Love Love” in 2013.
