S. Korea’s exports to China fall 9.4% in June

[THE INVESTOR] South Korean exports to China fell 9.4 percent on year last month, the 12th straight month of decline, data showed on July 20.

Shipments to China declined to US$10.2 billion in June, compared with $11.3 billion for the same month last year, according to the data from the Korea International Trade Association.



China which is South Korea’s biggest export destination has been facing an economic slowdown. The pace of declines in exports to China has slowed since May with exports dipping 9.1 percent on year during the month, compared with an 18.3 percent slip in April.

In the first six months of this year, exports to China fell 14 percent on-year to $58.3 billion, according to the data.
