Organica Day, the juice-making arm of Herald Corp., said Wednesday that it had acquired around 8,600 square meters of new land for the expansion of its juice production plant in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province.

“We decided on the major purchase to expand our facilities and respond to fast-growing demand for our Just Juice Cleanse products,” Organica Day CEO Lee Young-jin said in a statement.

The newly-acquired land lies adjacent to Organica’s Anseong plant, which was acquired from CJ CheilJedang in December last year and remodeled and optimized to manufacture the juice brand’s all-natural, cold-pressed juices using high pressure processing technology.

The company is set to build a new production plant on the land it has purchased. Upon its completion, Organica will house the largest cold-pressed high pressure juice production facility in Asia, it said.

With the expansion, Organica is hoping to better address growing demands for its Just Juice Cleanse products now sold at major coffee franchises such as Starbucks and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, as well as convenience store chain CU and Shinsegae’s E-mart Traders.

Organica Day was established in 2013, as a premium natural foods company specializing in detox products including cold-pressed juices, salads and nutritious wraps.

Detox diets aim to improve health by flushing out unwanted toxins from the body and pumping in healthy nutrients from fresh vegetables and fruits.

Unlike conventional juices, Organica’s Just Juice Cleanse juices are cold-pressed using high-pressure processing, which helps protect the freshness, flavor and nutrients of raw fruits and vegetables.
