Widely known for its uses in energy drinks, taurine is an organic compound that is found in animal tissue. It is thought to help control water and mineral levels in the blood, have antioxidant properties, and help increase longevity.

This year’s event is themed “Taurine and Brain Health.” Scholars will share 30 papers over 11 sessions about the health effects of taurine. The conference takes place from Tuesday to Friday at Seoul Plaza Hotel.
