‘Cuisine of Liguria’ at Grand Hyatt Incheon


Grand Hyatt Incheon is presenting the cuisine of Liguria throughout May.

As a participant in the Italian Food Festival organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea, Restaurant 8 is presenting the traditional cuisine of Liguria, a coastal region in north-western Italy.

Restaurant 8’s Italian kitchen Cucina is presenting Ligurian dishes with seafood and nuts.

There is also a five-course dinner featuring baby octopus salad and king crab soup and Pansotti stuffed with ricotta cheese and walnut. Grilled Jedong beef tenderloin with basil pesto is served as a main dish, followed by nut-encrusted orange custard pie with vanilla ice cream as a dessert.

The course menus are priced at 44,000 won for lunch and 88,000 won for dinner on weekdays.

Tropical desserts at Sheraton Seoul D Cube City

Sheraton Seoul D Cube City’s lobby lounge bar on its 41th floor is presenting the sweet dessert buffet “All About Tropical” until Aug. 31.

The buffet presents all-you-can-eat desserts made of fresh tropical fruits including fruit tart, banana and almond pie, tropical rainforest cake, exotic fruit mille-feuile, passion fruit swiss roll, banana cake with passion fruit, mango verine, and orange and paw paw panna cotta.  There is also an array of sweet treats such as macaroons, ice cream, waffles and scones, along with sandwiches, sushi and salad.

The buffet will be available on weekends and holidays, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The buffet is priced at 35,000 won and the price for cocktails starts from 8,500 won.

Park Hyatt Seoul presents ‘Seoul Jazz Festival’ package

Park Hyatt Seoul will present a “Seoul Jazz Festival” package on May 26-29 in partnership with the 2016 Seoul Jazz Festival.

The festival will take place at Seoul Olympic Park from May 27-29, starting with the opening night event “Royal Night Out” on May 27. The main concerts on May 28 and 29 will feature artists from home and abroad including Pat Metheny, Mark Ronson and Korean indie band Hyukoh.

The one-day package includes a one-night stay in a Park King room and two one-day tickets to the festival on May 27 or May 29. The two-day package includes a two-night stay at a Park King room and two two-day tickets to the festival from May 28-29. Free access to the Park Club fitness studio, swimming pool and sauna, and a discount on Cornerstone’s breakfast buffet will also be available.

The packages are priced at 524,000 won for the one-day package and 904,000 won for the two-day package.

Indonesian cuisine at Grand Hilton Seoul

Grand Hilton Seoul’s buffet restaurant is presenting a “Wonderful Indonesia” promotion from May 23-29.

Guests can enjoy traditional Indonesian cuisines by Conrad Bali’s chefs Agus Surya and I Made Semawan, while enjoying the performance of native Indonesian dancers.

The buffet restaurant will serve exotic Indonesian dishes such as Kambing (lamb) Jakarta soup, Empal Balado (pan seared marinated beef in Padang spice), Opor Ayma (braised chicken leg in white curry sauce) and Iga Bakar Bumbu Ketumbar (spicy grilled pork rib in coriander spice).

Traditional Indonesian desserts such as Pisang Rai (soft boiled banana with Pandan paste and grated coconut), Bubur Injin (black sticky rice pudding) and Dadar Gulung (Pandan crepes with coconut and palm sugar) will also be available at the buffet.

The buffet is priced at 70,000 won for lunch and 75,000 won for dinner on weekdays. It costs 75,000 won for lunch and 80,000 won for dinner on weekends.

Seoul Shilla Hotel presents ‘In Room Delights’ package

Seoul Shilla Hotel is presenting its “In Room Delights” package throughout May, for guests seeking a luxurious experience.

The package includes a one-night stay at the hotel’s Business Deluxe room or Grand Deluxe room, in-room dining consisting of salad, pasta or a sandwich, and tenderloin steak or grilled fish. A bottle of red wine and mini bar are also available in the room.  Also included are free access to the mini bar, fitness studio, indoor swimming pool, as well as the hotel’s exotic  outdoor swimming pool “Urban Island.”

For those staying in the Grand Deluxe room, the hotel also offers breakfast for two at the Park View.

The package is priced at 380,000 won on weekdays and 430,000 won for the Business Deluxe room. It costs 470,000 won on weekdays and 520,000 won on weekends for the Grand Deluxe room.
