Dongbu Daewoo Electronics Service names new chief executive

Korea’s third-largest electronics-maker Dongbu Daewoo Electronics said Tuesday that it had named Park Kwang-ho as the new chief executive of its subsidiary and after-sales service company Dongbu Daewoo Electronics Service.

The incoming CEO served as the president of pesticide and fertilizer business Dongbu Farm Hannong in 2014 and led express bus operator Dongbu Express as president in 2013.

The CEO, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Seoul National University, will lead the Dongbu Daewoo Electronics subsidiary, which runs 55 after-sales service centers across the nation.

The company is an authorized after-sales services provider for Apple iPhones, kitchenware-maker Tefal, and electronics firm Electrolux in the domestic market. (wone0102@heraldcorp.com)
