Sheraton Incheon gets new name


Sheraton Incheon Hotel in Songdo City has changed its brand name to Sheraton Grand Incheon.

Sheraton is part of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, a leading hotel and leisure company.

The new premier tier -- Sheraton Grand -- is only granted to properties where guests can get exceptional and sophisticated services.

The purpose of introducing Sheraton Grand is to recognize the best Sheraton properties that are committed to impressive design, exemplary service, memorable restaurant and club lounge experience, the company said.

“In facilitating 100 Sheraton Grand hotels by 2017, it is a pleasure to be one of the first hotels to receive Sheraton Grand tier from Starwood,” said Richard Suter, general manager of Sheraton Grand Incheon, in a press release.



Millennium Seoul Hilton offers holiday dinners

Several of the Millennium Seoul Hilton’s restaurants will be offering special dinners to help guests celebrate Christmas and New Year holidays.

At Genji, the hotel’s Japanese restaurant, diners will be treated to a special feast on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. 

The eight-course meal is comprised of traditional Japanese dishes, which include an appetizer of abalone, shishamo and salmon; swellfish soup; and grilled black cod and fresh eel.

French restaurant Seasons will introduce a six-course dinner which includes: poached prawn tails with Beluga caviar and sweet and sour mango sauce, served on an edible flower; and sautéed Foie Gras with green leaf salad and a port wine balsamic sauce.

Il Ponte, Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Italian restaurant, will offer grilled fennel and marinated lobster with sundried tomato salsa and gazpacho.



Movie time at Grand Hyatt Seoul


Grand Hyatt Seoul is offering “Winter Movie Fun” package in partnership with Sony Pictures for families and friends Dec. 4 -Jan.17.

The Winter Movie Fun package includes one night in a Grand Room, access to the cinema lounge in the hotel, three movie tickets to the “Hotel Transylvania 2” feature-length animation and rental skates for the hotel’s Ice Rink. “Hotel Transylvania 2” will be released Dec. 24.

A 10 percent discount at its restaurants and spa and the use of a 24-hour fitness club, plus free Wi-Fi are included in the package.

Popcorn, nacho, juice, coffee and other refreshments will be available for those watching the movie in the hotel’s cinema lounge.

Feel the romance at Palace Hotel

The Palace Hotel Seoul is presenting the “Romantic Holiday Package” Dec. 23-26 for couples who are looking for a romantic getaway this Christmas.

The package includes a one-night stay, a bottle of Moet & Chandon and handmade Grissini, as well as breakfast.

The package also provides complimentary use of the gym, indoor swimming pool and sauna for two.

Winter getaway at JW Marriott 

JW Marriott Hotel Seoul is offering winter packages until the end of February next year.

The package includes one night in a Superior Room with two movie tickets for use at any movie theater in Korea. It is priced from 229,000 won, plus tax and service charge.

The perfect option for those planning a Christmas or New Year’s Eve party with friends is the “Winter in Eclat” package, featuring one night in a Superior Room and a bottle of Eclat by Imperial served in-room with a selection of fresh fruit and cheeses.

The “Color Your Winter” package offers a ceramic painting class. All paints and glazes used in the class are nontoxic and FDA-approved.

The painting class is open to all children aged five and above, and held Dec. 26 in Meeting Room 5 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
