Accessories worn by hallyu celebrities have been a subject of great interest since the rise of the Korean Wave. Some devoted fans even come to Korea to personally buy accessories worn by their favorite stars.

2DELLO, a handcrafted accessory specialty store run by copresidents Hwang Min-soo and Song Sung-ho has risen in popularity as stars such as Lee Min-ho and Lee Jong-suk wore its products. They offer over 200 different handmade bracelets, necklaces and hand pins.

“We used to outsource production but it was hard to bring out the style we really wanted,” Hwang said, explaining that the lackluster final products led them to design and produce accessories themselves, which became one of their biggest strengths and signs of quality assurance.

2DELLO stands out through their Web videos that show their accessories being made and “lookbooks,” collections of photos designed to help capture the feeling of browsing a store.

The brand received recognition from Hong Kong’s “Weekend Weekly” and business propositions from investors in Russia and Canada.

2DELLO opened its English website through cafe24 Global business (www.cafe24.com) last August and is also preparing a Chinese-language site.

“We are confident that 2DELLO will be loved not only in Korea but everywhere in the world. We will do our best to provide all customers with only the best quality handmade accessories,” Song said.
