Renault Samsung's cumulative sales in Korea top 1.5 mn units

Renault Samsung Motors Co., the local unit of French auto firm Renault S.A., said Monday that its cumulative sales in South Korea have topped 1.5 million units since its debut here 15 years ago.
Its cumulative sales in South Korea stood at 1.52 million units as of end-September, according to data provided by Renault Samsung Motors.
Its total sales, including overseas shipments of vehicles produced in Korea, have reached around 2.4 million units, the data showed.
During the January-October period, its cumulative sales also jumped 47.1 percent on-year to 182,655 units, a growth driven in part by strong sales of the Rogue crossover SUV.
Given the current pace, market experts expect that Renault Samsung Motors will post an operating profit for the third straight year this year since it turned black in 2013. (Yonhap)
