Women’s clothing brand Courri (www.courri.com) is increasing its profile in the world fashion market, thanks to designs by Courri head Hwang Yoo-na and the technical skills of Seoul’s dressmakers.

“In addition to the exquisite clothing that Hallyu stars wear, toned down naturalness is also a typical fashion style in Korea,” said cofounders Oh Jung-gun and Hwang Yoo-na.

Courri’s design and production all take place in Korea. The products are crafted with fabrics sourced from the Korea Textile Expo, Korea Fabric Expo and top trade shows in Japan and America.

Courri says its competitiveness lies in using dressmaking techniques from Korean master dressmakers, who can produce quality fitting and maintain reasonable prices by eliminating the middleman distribution channels.

The cofounders said they paid attention to overseas customers’ preferences, as global expansion has been part of their original plan.

Courri opened their English website (www.courri.com) through Cafe24’s Global Business Service (www.cafe24.com), and, as a relatively little-known brand, has focused on brand presentation and international shipping in order to build trust and provide information about itself.

The company also promotes itself through social media and plans to participate in trade shows to be held in New York near the end of the year.
