Dozens of Korean cultural properties preserved outside South Korea will be displayed in the form of 3-D videos in Seoul starting Wednesday, the cultural agency said.

The exhibit at the National Palace Museum of Korea running until Dec. 27 has recreated 20 cultural properties in the virtual format, the Cultural Heritage Administration said.

The United States, Canada, France, Russia and Japan are some of the current locations of the items.

LG Electronics provided around 1.2 billion won ($1.1 million) toward the project, which began under a deal signed with the agency Tuesday to preserve Korea's cultural assets.

"We will continue to develop various cultural content with LG Electronics' digital technology," an agency official said.

The video display will also line the corridors of a Gyeongbok Palace building until Nov. 2. (Yonhap)
