The head of a labor union of South Korea's largest conglomerate, Samsung Group, has been indicted for holding rallies more than 100 times that obstructed the duties of Samsung Electronics Co., prosecutors said Friday.
  

Kim Seong-hwan, leader of Samsung's General Labor Union, is suspected of holding rallies 116 times between October 2012 and July 2015 in front of the headquarters of the country's top tech behemoth in southern Seoul using loudspeakers, prosecutors said.
  

According to an investigation, the 57-year-old has been criticizing Samsung's family-run management system, as well as its passive attitude on leukemia patients who contracted the disease while working at the company's chipmaking facility.
  

Kim, who was dismissed from one of Samsung's affiliates in 1996, established the union and has been sued by Samsung multiple times since then on charges of libel and obstruction of duties. (Yonhap)
