Hana Financial sees results in creative economy boost

Hana Financial Group is stepping up its efforts to help vitalize the nation’s creative economy.

Group chairman Kim Jung-tai visited the Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center on Thursday and expressed his continued support for the creative economy and young job seekers.

This is Kim’s third visit to the Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center, as he aims to encourage young start-up entrepreneurs and job seekers for roles in small and mid-sized tech companies.

During the visit, Kim said that there have been tangible results in creating jobs after 17 creative economy centers were established across the nation.

“We at Hana Financial Group will also try our best to help create more jobs for youths and venture companies by supporting talented people in those regions.”

In the talks following, Kim provided a lecture and advice on starting a business, emphasizing the need for innovation and change. Afterward, he held a ceremony for donating operation funds for vitalizing the creative economy in Daejeon.

Hana Financial officials said even after the merger with Korea Exchange Bank, they will continue to help vitalize the economy by producing specialized products for SME business loans and supporting venture companies through funds.
