Mercedes-Benz Korea is running a pop-up promotion space dubbed “The Mercedes me” in Busan through Aug. 30 to mingle with a wider range of drivers in the Gyeongsang region.

This is the second such shop opened by the German-based carmaker, following the success of the first one near the ultratrendy Garosu-gil district in southern Seoul last year.

“We dedicate this place to everyone who is willing to experience the Mercedes-Benz in a more casual way, as much as and however they would like,” said Choi Duk-jun, vice president of sales, at the preview of the opening.

The Mercedes me is located on the bustling beach of Gwangalli, at the Coffee Smith site. The coffee store has been renovated to bring the essence of younger and trendier flank of the Mercedes-Benz without losing its premium and luxurious image.

At the Mercedes me Busan, visitors can test-drive soMe of the carmaker’s most popular models. They can also enjoy soMe activities related to the Mercedes-Benz brand, and consult on a potential purchase.

Those presented at the pop-up store are the Mercedes-AMG GT S Edition 1, the A 45 AMG 4MATIC, the E400 Cabriolet and the SLK 200.

But perhaps the most eye-catching models will be the New C-Class ESTATE, the premium wagon for family users as well as leisure-loving youths in Korea. Two of the models will be displayed at the venue as a preview before the September launch.

“You see the iconic C-Class features on the frontal flank of the body, but the practical and trendy wagon side on the back. It’s like having two Mercedes in one,” a PR official for Merces-Benz Korea said.

Visitors can take a photo in front of a large silver circle installed in front of the store -– MBK recomMends making the Mercedes-Benz emblem by stretching the body inside the circle — and upload them to social Media with the tag #MeBusan. The tagged photos will be displayed on the Media wall and the best photo-takers will be given special prizes.

There are rooms for family visitors as children will be able to design their own Mercedes on a piece of paper, then given a fraMe for it as a souvenir.

Parties with DJs mixing the music all night long will be held every Friday while chat shows with celebrities discussing their love for fashion, music, cars and films will be held each Saturday night.

“The Mercedes me last year was so successful that we had to extend our opening dates. We are expecting the saMe phenoMenon here, too,” an MBK PR officer said.
