Food and drink company Dongsuh announced Monday that it was launching a “Maxim Heritage Campaign“ to promote the nation‘s cultural treasuries to coffee consumers.

The company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Cultural Heritage Administration in April and has since been promoting Korean cultural heritage.

Starting July 1, Dongsuh will print the Gilt-bronze Incense Burner of the Baekje Kingdom, the 287th National Treasure of Korea, on their Maxim Mocha Gold coffee mix packages.

The Gilt-bronze Incense Burner of Baekje is considered a treasure with much cultural and historical value due to its intricate design. Dongsuh plans to print additional national treasures on their products in the future.

The company also donated 430 million won ($380,000) to the administration, which will be used to support educational programs on cultural heritage.

Dongsuh is planning additional events at its Maxim Heritage page (http://www.maxim-heritage.com). Those who participate in an online quiz and share results through social media will be selected to receive Maxim’s coffee mix products on July 22.

The company also plans to recruit a “cultural heritage expedition team” for a two-day trip around historical sites in Gongju and Buyeo, South Chungcheong Province, in August.

“We hope customers have an opportunity to look back and appreciate Korea’s traditional cultural heritage through our campaign and events,” said a spokesperson from Dongsuh.
