The “BMW Premium Selection,” a used car trading service administered by BMW Group Korea since 2005, marks its 10th anniversary this year.

BMW Group Korea said that they plan to provide premium services to customers for the occasion, such as a free 12-month warranty for vehicles up to 20,000 kilometers, a transparent maintenance history, leases and financial services such as monthly installment plans.

In 2009, BMW Premium Selection also opened their online used-car trading service website -- www.bps.co.kr/index.do. The website, which was the first of its kind in Korea for import automobiles, allows users to search and compare all the certified used cars across the country, as well as provide the going rate for used BMW and MINI models that they currently own.

Last November, the BMW Premium Selection website added more features such as a question section and notifications, and increased user accessibility and convenience for both PC and mobile versions.

The BMW Premium Selection boasts selling used BMWs and MINIs that are certified to have be in good condition, specifically, being accident-free for five years and driven less than 100,000 kilometers.

Company officials said the used cars go through a thorough 72-point examination before being sold to the public.

The BMW Premium Selection also provides quality benefits to used car purchasers. Customer who purchased a car under the Premium Selection or through its website can receive a free warranty for vehicles up to 20,000 kilometers for 12 months, care from service centers across the country, a 24-7 emergency call system, a detailed car checking service and a BMW monthly installment financial plan.

BMW Korea also provides a transparent maintenance history of the used car for customers.

The BMW Premium Selection program has established a new trend in purchasing used cars at a trusted seller and currently runs 11 BMW Premium Selection exhibits across Korea, with plans to build one additional exhibit this year.

In 2014, they achieved 45 percent growth and sales of around 3,800 cars, and they hope to keep up the double-digit growth amid the continuously increasing demand for used cars each year.
