Hyundai Motor is showing off its design philosophy at the 2015 Milan Design Week ― an annual event established on the sidelines of the Milan Furniture Fair in Italy ― during which global companies from various sectors share the latest design trends in their respective industries.

As part of the event, South Korea's largest automaker is displaying a sculpture titled “Helio Curve,” the second artwork created under the company’s ongoing “Sculpture in Motion” project ― launched to help the public better experience Hyundai’s design philosophy of “Fluidic Sculptures” through art ― at the Superstudio Piu in Milan until Sunday.

Created by the Hyundai Design Center in collaboration with acclaimed American sculptor Reuben Margolin, “Helio Curve” was made by connecting 400 wooden blocks and arranging them in a wavelike shape under special lighting.

The large-scale sculpture, 5 meters high and 26 meters wide, aims to “breathe life into abstract movement,” according to Hyundai Motor officials. Music composed by Hyundai Motor’s Sound Design Research Lab is also being presented alongside the sculpture.

The automaker also plans to display its latest concept car Intrado, introduced at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, and hold various promotional events and concerts during the design week.

In 2013, Hyundai Motor won the Communication Design Award at the 2013 Red Dot Design Award for its first art piece created under the company’s design propagation project.
