KB Financial Group is focusing on financial education as part of its social philanthropy, with its affiliates and KB Financial Foundation carrying out financial education sessions for the general public since 2012.

Their sessions include an education program for elementary, middle and high school students, where lecturers teach students finance and economy by visiting their schools or the local children’s center, according to group officials. The program has taught 245,000 students till 2014, and prides itself on teaching seemingly difficult topics in a fun and easy manner.

Since 2013, they have also expanded these classes to other demographics such as college students, housewives, and disadvantaged groups such as the elderly, disabled and North Korean refugees.

KB Financial Group educational programs are also available online, catering to all age groups ranging from kindergarteners to adults, in the form of cartoons and videos for easy comprehension.

The extensive education program appears to have paid off as both lecturers and attendees expressed high levels of satisfaction: about 98 percent of class attendees responded that they would take the class again.

KB Financial Group said they would continue to carry out diverse and unique educational programs on finance that can benefit as many people as possible.
