Porsche Korea debuts its new 911 Targa 4 GTS in Korea during the Seoul Motor Show, along with some of the latest facelift versions of its popular models.

“The model highlights Porsche’s typical sports car DNA,” Kim Geun-tak, representative and managing director of Porsche Korea, said at the media preview on Thursday.

The German luxury sports car brand released the Targa 4 GTS last year in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the birth of the 900 Targa model.

“Porsche came out with the GTS version, newly-equipped with higher-performance features (over the 2014 Targa S), fit for motor sports,” Kim said.

GTS stands for Gran Turismo Sport, with outstanding performance since the launch of the legendary 904 Carrera GTS in 1963.

The new 911 Target 4 GTS delivers very safe and joyful driving experience with all-wheel drive and a rollover protection bar, an open-air fun with a targa top that stows automatically.

Contributing to a boost in dynamic performance are the 430 horsepower-GTS engine together with the standard Sport Chrono package, PASM chassis, 20-inch wheels and a sport exhaust system.

The car reaches a top speed of over 300 km/h with a dual-clutch transmission, with a zero-back of 4.1 seconds.

Nine other best-selling models of the German sports carmaker are on display, including the 911 Carrera 4 GTS, Cayman GTS, Panamera GTS, Panamera 4, Cayenne Turbo, Cayenne S E-Hybrid, Macan Turbo and the Macan S Diesel.
