Jeju Air, South Korea’s largest low-cost airline, vowed to post 1.5 trillion won ($1.3 billion) of sales by 2020 while aggressively targeting the Chinese market, the company said on Monday.

“Jeju Air aims for 20 percent annual growth in sales by 2020 based on the company’s core values such as teamwork and trust,” Choi Kyu-nam, CEO of Jeju Air said during a ceremony to mark 10th anniversary of the company‘s foundation.

The airline, which plans to launch Daegu-Beijing route in February, aims to expand its footing in the Chinese market.

“This year, the company will undertake a sweeping revamp of its sales, marketing and air transportation in the Chinese market,”

The CEO said the airline will strengthen its training for its workers to make them “Chinese experts.”

To realize these goals, this year, the airline plans to add four more Boeing 737-800 to its existing fleet of 17 aircraft of the same type and expand its domestic and international routes to 30 from current 25.

For its future growth strategy, the CEO said it will expand its role from a provider of air transport services for traveling to become a “network company” that offers various travel services by connecting travel agencies, hotels and rent car companies.
