Bobby Mcferrin to hold two-day concert in Seoul

American singer-songwriter Bobby Mcferrin, best known for his 1988 hit “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” will be making his way to Seoul to perform two back-to-back concerts in March.

The 10-time Grammy Award winner is best known for his signature style of overtone singing and jazzy, scat-like vocals. McFerrin’s most iconic hit, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” became the first a cappella song to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and went on to snag three Grammy wins for Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.

Throughout his three decades in the music industry, McFerrin has made a name for himself in both the jazz and classical music realms, working alongside artists such as Herbie Hancock and Yo-Yo Ma. To date, the 64-year-old has released more than 20 albums, including his most recent, “Spirityouall” in 2013.

McFerrin’s latest album explores the depths of religion and spirituality in a mix of original songs as well as a number of religious classics such as “Whole World” and “Swing Low.”

McFerrin will be performing live on March 10 and 11 at the LG Arts Center in Seoul. Ticket prices range from 40,000 won to 130,000 won and can be purchased online at www.lgart.com.
