BMW Korea on Tuesday launched its Winter Driving Program at its driving center on Yeongjongdo Island, Incheon, to entertain motor enthusiasts with seasonal activities until the end of February.

Aimed at offering winter driving experiences, the participants will be able to acquire and refine their winter driving skills on a snowy multipurpose road under the guidance of professional instructors ― Snow Basic ― or get firsthand experience drifting in high-performance BMW M vehicles on the snow-covered circular route ― Snow M Drift.

The 90-minute Snow Basic program is priced at 100,000 won and the 140-minute Snow M Drift, available only to those who have completed the advanced program, is 300,000 won. Visitors will be able to choose from all BMW or MINI models, including the full-electric compact i3.

At the event hall of the driving center, located some 40 kilometers from Seoul, an xDrive Village is open with an exhibition on the four-wheel drive system and a campaign for snow tire installation in the winter.

BMW Korea also runs a 10,746-square-meter ice rink, Eisbahn, at the outdoor parking lot until Feb. 28. The rink is open between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., from Tuesday through Sunday, except for Lunar New Year’s Day. Those over age 6 can use the facility for 3,000 won, which includes a helmet and skate lease.

This is the first winter promotion for the BMW driving center that opened to the public in August. The center is the fourth of its kind globally after those in Germany and the U.S., and the first in Asia.
