제시카 소녀시대 퇴출설, 불과 사흘 전만 해도…‘그새 무슨 일이?’

소녀시대 멤버 제시카의 퇴출설이 불거진 가운데, 평온한 일상이 담긴 근황 사진이 관심을 모았다.

제시카는 26일 자신의 웨이보를 통해 사진 여러 장을 공개하며 팬들에게 근황을 전했다. 외국으로 추정되는 길거리 카페 앞에서 제시카는 수수한 차림으로 커피를 고르는 듯한 모습이다. 특히 제시카는 청바지에 흰색 셔츠를 입고 긴 생머리를 흩날리며 청순한 미모를 뽐냈다.

앞서 제시카는 멤버들과 함께 다정한 한 때를 보내는 모습을 공개하기도 했다. 22일 제시카의 웨이보에는 “Cheers! Happy birthday dear 효연”이라는 글과 함께 효연의 생일파티 사진이 올라왔다. 사진 속 효연, 티파니, 제시카는 와인잔을 들고 즐거워하는 모습이다.

이같은 정황으로 미뤄 제시카는 사흘 전까지만 해도 평온한 일상을 보내고 있었던 것으로 추정된다. 소녀시대 멤버들과도 최근까지 돈독한 관계를 유지하고 있었던 것으로 보인다. 따라서 사흘 새 소속사 혹은 멤버들과의 갈등이 불거진 것인지, 아니면 해킹에 따른 단순한 해프닝일 뿐인지 퇴출설의 진위 여부에 세간의 관심이 집중되고 있다.

한편 30일 새벽 제시카의 웨이보에는 “다가오는 공식 스케줄을 기대하며 준비하고 있었으나, 회사와 8명으로부터 오늘부로 저는 더 이상 소녀시대의 멤버가 아니다 라는 통보를 받았습니다”라며 “저는 소녀시대 활동을 우선시하며 적극적으로 전념하고 있는데, 정당치 않은 이유로 이런 통보를 받아서 매우 당혹스럽습니다”라는 글이 영문과 한글로 올라왔다.

이와 관련해 소녀시대의 소속사 SM엔터테인먼트 측은 아직까지 공식 입장을 밝히지 않고 있다.

제시카 소녀시대 퇴출설 소식에 누리꾼들은 “제시카 소녀시대 퇴출설, 혹시 해킹 아닌가?” “제시카 소녀시대 퇴출설, SM 아직까지 답 없는 걸 보니 진짜인 듯” “제시카 소녀시대 퇴출설, 이게 진짜라면 대체 무슨 일이 있었길래” 등의 반응을 보였다.

Jessica removed from Girls' Generation

Jessica, member of K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation, revealed Tuesday that her label SM Entertainment had unilaterally dismissed her from the group.

“I was preparing myself for the upcoming schedule, but I was notified today that I am no longer a member of Girls’ Generation as of today,” Jessica wrote on her Weibo at around 5 a.m. on Tuesday.

In the message she left both in English and Korean, she could not hide her confusion.

“I have put Girls’ Generation first and actively focused on our activities, but I was informed of such news. I am very perplexed,” she added.

“You fans are special ones who I love. That’s why you deserve the truth. I felt deep sorrow and got heart-broken by those who I have trusted. I hope you don’t have to suffer like me,” the idol wrote in response to her fans’ comments.

The news comes as a surprise because it was reported that all of the group’s nine members renewed their contract with SM after their seven-year contract expired in August.

Shocked fans took to online communities to discuss weather Jessica‘s story was truth or not.

Some fans even raised the possibility that Jessica’s Weibo account was hacked, but it remains to be seen as SM has yet to announce their official stance. The company could not be reached for comment.
