LG Electronics launched Friday a promotional event for its premium Bluetooth headset, the LG Tone Plus, near Gangnam Station in southern Seoul.

The electronics giant said that it had set up an experience zone in the area, enabling people, especially office workers, to try out the wearable product and its features, as well as test its sound quality during the lunch break.

It offers gifts and prizes such as free coffee coupons and monthly free online music tickets to those who participate in the LG street event and draw a winning ticket in a lottery.

LG also has set up a photo zone allowing participants to take pictures of themselves with the wireless stereo headset on.

The company has rolled out five Tone Plus headset models since 2010. This year, it introduced the HBS-900, which was developed in partnership with Harman/Kardon, a global premium audio equipment maker.

The HBS-900 features an automatic retractable wire system and a jog button for fast forward and rewind.

LG Electronics’ Tone Plus headsets have been recognized by tech users and critics for their design and usability. Office workers have found them useful, especially when they have to multitask, LG said.

“LG Tone Plus has become an essential wearable product for office workers keen on high-quality sound and design,” said an LG Electronics official.

“We will continue to hold various events to get closer to our customers.”
