LG Electronics Inc. said Wednesday it will roll out two new smartphone models in its low-end L series later this month that will feature high-tech features similar to the more expensive G series.

The L Bello and L Fino come with 5-inch and 4.5-inch screens, respectively, along with an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 1 megapixel camera on the front.

The L Bello is equipped with a 2,540 mAh battery and 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, while the L Fino has a 1,900 mAh battery and 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. Both models only operate on the third-generation network and are powered by Google Inc.’s Android Kit Kat 4.4.2.

The two models will also come with “Knock Code,” an update of “KnockOn,” which allows users to unlock their device by tapping the screen several times, just as with the G3 smartphone. (Yonhap)
