Busker Busker leader Jang Beom-june will be holding weekly concerts starting next month to mark his solo debut, according to an announcement by CJ E&M officials on Monday.

Jang is slated to put on weekend concerts for four weeks, from Sept. 27 to Oct. 19. The concert series, titled “2014 Jang Beom-june Club Show,” will be held at the YES24 Muv Hall in Hongdae, with the artist performing a total of eight solo concerts.

It was previously reported that Jang had been preparing for a solo debut under a self-established one-man agency with his new album slated to be released on Tuesday.

Despite Jang’s tremendous success as the leader of the Busker Busker trio, which after its participation in the 2011 audition program “Superstar K3” rapidly became one of the country’s most popular bands, this is the artist’s first attempt at a solo career. Late last year it was announced that Busker Busker would halt its activities as a band in order to allow the members to pursue independent activities.
