Ailee plays special aid in ‘Laws of the City in New York’

Singer Ailee will join the SBS reality show “Laws of the City in New York” as a special aid, helping out the Korean celebrity participants with language barriers, SBS production crew said on Tuesday.

“Ailee was born and brought up in New York, and is able to speak fluent English... She also can blend into the local community fast,” the production crew said.

The production crew described the 25-year-old singer as “a cheerful icebreaker with versatile skills,” expecting that she will bring a fresh breeze to the team.

The reality show invites a team of Korean celebrities who have never been overseas to stay in a metropolitan city of a foreign country. Each participant needs to find a job to make a living in the host country despite language and cultural differences.

Ailee will make her first appearance in the Wednesday show on June 25, 11:15 p.m.
