SK Innovation, a top refiner here, said on Monday that its wholly owned U.S. subsidiary has bought stakes of over 50 percent in two U.S. oil fields for 387.1 billion won ($367.7 million).

SK E&P America acquired a 75 percent stake in an oil field in Grant and Garfield counties, Oklahoma, from U.S. oil developer Plymouth Exploration LLC, SK Innovation said.

The 50 percent stake in an oil field in Crane County, Texas, was bought from another U.S. developer, KA Henry I LLC., it said in an emailed statement.

The U.S. unit was set up in Houston in March to handle oil exploration business in the United States.

The oil field in Oklahoma produces 2,500 barrels of crude per day, while the Crane oil field has a daily production of 750 barrels.

The stake acquisition increased SK Innovation’s daily crude production capacity to about 74,250 barrels from the current 71,000 barrels, the refiner said.
