Although cooking is mainly for adults, it is very beneficial for children to learn how to do this. First of all, most adults have to cook because it saves time and is less expensive than eating out. Accordingly, it’s a good idea for kids to learn how to do this at a young age. Furthermore, knowing how to cook is very helpful for the family. For instance, you can let your parents relax, while you cook dinner instead of them. Finally, cooking requires thinking, planning, and organizing, skills which are important for every child to learn. In summary, I believe that all children should learn how to cook.

Although cooking can be helpful for children, it is not beneficial for them to learn how to do this. First of all, cooking can be very dangerous. Often times, you must deal with boiling water, stoves and ovens. Children can easily burn themselves if they aren’t careful. Furthermore, learning how to cook is a waste of time, when kids should be focusing on school subjects. Finally, there is a lot of information that must be learned when cooking. Thus, students should not fill their brains with these details because they will have less brain capacity to learn school information. In summary, I believe that all children should learn how to cook.
