The company said it has received the “Most InAVative Display Product” award from business-to-business magazine InAVation for its ME95C model, which began mass production in December last year.
LFD refers to panels used for digital signage for advertisements and any product requiring visual effects. Samsung said its 95-inch LFD is optimal for department store windows, providing life-size images of fashion items and display images of runway shows.
“Samsung’s diverse commercial display products are gathering popularity from business clients around the globe, including Europe,” the company said in a press release. “We will continue to make efforts to meet the demands of customers.”
Samsung had 26.3 percent of the world’s LFD market through the third quarter of 2013, more than double the 10.4 percent posted by No. 2 player NEC Display Solutions Ltd. from Japan, separate data by DisplaySearch showed. It marked the fifth consecutive year that Samsung kept the top spot. (Yonhap)
